How to fix incorrect time on Android phones

If your device is displaying the incorrect time, here are some tips on how to fix the time in your Android phone to help bring accurate time back into your life.

Here are the following steps to ensure that your phone always displays the correct time. However, you should note that Samsung phones do not support the option to change time zones.

How to manually set the time on an Android phone

By default, your phone automatically sets the time based on its cellular or Wi-Fi connection. It usually works quite well, but it can stumble now and then for many reasons. And just in case, it’s easy to turn off this automatic detection of time zones and set the time manually.

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Scroll down and click on System.
  3. Click on “ Date and Time”.
  4. Tap the toggle next to Set the time automatically to disable the automatic time.
  5. Choose “Time” and set it to the correct time.
  6. Click on “OK”.

Setting the time manually may be the best solution for some people, but when it’s time to deal with daylight savings time, you’ll have another clock to set. Automatic time is more convenient, and if you want to keep it that way, here’s a quick fix worth trying.

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Scroll down and tap System.
  3. Click on the date and time.
  4. Tap the toggle next to Set the time automatically to disable the automatic time.
  5. Tap the same toggle again to enable it.

Sometimes it is useful to turn off the phone and then turn it back on again; As this process has proven effective in solving many problems.

How to change your time zone on an Android phone

If you are a person who travels a lot or you live near the edge of a time zone, this can also cause time problems on your Android phone. And you can adjust the time zones on your phone with just a few clicks. However, Samsung phone users should note that they do not have the option to change their timezone.

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Scroll down and tap System.
  3. Click on the date and time.
  4. Tap the toggle next to Set time zone automatically.
  5. Select your preferred time zone.

When auto switch to set time zone is enabled, your phone should automatically switch to new time zones on its own. If that doesn’t work for any reason, the above method is a quick and easy way to straighten things out on your own.

If you don’t want to manually change the time zone each time you enter a new one, try disabling and re-enabling this toggle; To reset the auto-detect feature.
